What would I need to teach in MA USA being a British primary school teacher

What would I need to teach in MA USA being a British primary school teacher?
I haven't started studying yet but I would have a BA degree and either a PGCE or GTP. I want to teach early years and was wondering what I would then need to do (other than a visa) to teach in Massachusettss USA.

It looks as though you'd have to have your qualifications recognised by the MA boards. My experience of the GTP is that it is not often recognised overseas, so PGCE might be the better route for you. There is a contact email address on the Contact List on this page which might be worth you using: http://www.doe.mass.edu/edprep/nasdtec.html Hopefully they'll be able to give you some advice.

Going to colledge in europe after high school in the USA??? help..

Going to colledge in europe after high school in the USA??? help..?
I was just wondering what you have to do after you graduatue high school in the US to go to colledge in europe anyone know ???? :O
Higher Education (University +) - 5 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
you should try looking up colleges in europe or doing a semester abroad through a local university.
2 :
I personally don't know what you need, but I do know that almost every school's website will have a section for international students. So just find some schools you would like to go to and peruse their websites. Good Luck!
3 :
ya that was my dream a while ago too, but I found it hard to find schools that would acknowledge a high school diploma from the US because our school system is different than theirs. Also the language barrier. You have to take a test to prove you can handle classes conducted in that language. And lastly, the US government won't grant you financial aid if you go to a university outside the USA. And if you're thinking that college is free in Europe, well it is, technically, but you have to be a tax paying resident. that's how they get the funding. If you can establish residency and get citizenship and prove you can speak the language, and afford the costs out of your own pocket, then by all means go for it.
4 :
Each school is different; and their educational systems tend to be very different than ours. A lot depends on which country you're interested in. Your best bet is to review websites and communicate with the schools of interest. They likely would need to review your specific case, as it's impossible to generalize under the circumstances. For example, European students of teenaged "high school" age are typically far advanced compared to U.S. students - they usually know several languages and have more advanced skills in all other subjects. The schools may also have selection processes that depend heavily on interviewing you, perhaps several times, and making a judgment call on your personal character, even if your school scores aren't perfect. Finally you should be very clear what exactly you want to study, because they tend to be more focused at a younger age and the schools expect that. Some foreign schools will handle U.S. federal financial aid; but it's more time-consuming and complicated, so be prepared if that is something you will need to do.
5 :
The first thng is to be able to afford it which is why most American kids don't have this option though it's in vogue for wealthy kids. The same schools that are almost free for locals will cost you about $35,000 per year with no financial aid available. If you pass that hump, research them on the internet. They are very clear on what grades and scores they accept. Then apply. Some do require interviews, so plan to visit.

What's the best business school in the USA

What's the best business school in the USA?
and what do they require for admission?
Higher Education (University +) - 4 Answers

I think is Wharton. You probably need to contact admissions to get the requirements.
2 :
Harvard School of Business. No business experience is required. They accept college seniors. Tuition, etc. for a 9-month calendar year: about $77,000
3 :
Depends on who you ask and what field of business you want to go into. However, if you can get into any one of the Ivy's, you should be more than fine. Admissions requirements: nothing short of perfection. They expect you to excell in everything that you do; you have to stand out to be admitted to their programs. Good Luck!
4 :
go to http://www.businessweek.com/bschools/rankings/ for the graudate rankings. According to business week University of Chicago is #1, Wharton (uPenn) is number 2 and Northwestern is number 3 and Harvard is number 4.

Ok i'm a sophomore in high school and i need to move somewhere. I'm in a tiny town and I have to get out! I want to live with another family or something and move to another school like foreign exchange but within the country. I have to get out soon, I need a new experience. Why would you do that??? Go and explore the world, not just your own little country!
2 :
To my knowledge, no there aren't any. Generally, people wait it out, and get out of smaller towns when they go to college. Do the best you can at school, and try and get a scholarship to a school that is somewhere you want to go. The only way to live with another family and attend school in another city/town/state is to have your parents transfer guardianship of you to a family member living somewhere else, so they are legally able to register you in a school somewhere else. Honestly, it's not worth the hassle, and I bet your parents would not be happy about it.

like for example, i pass the SM Entertainment right, and I live in The USA. i hear that if you pass you get sent to KOREA? if you do, what about your school in the USA? And what if you don't know korean, only a little bit? please help?!

Hello, if you make it into SM they will send you to school in Korea. It will most likely be an international school until you can speak Korean fluently. You have to pass at least high school and college is optional. They will teach you Korean anyhow, so please don't worry. I hope you make it :)
2 :
You really need to go to Korea to train since they company itself is in Korea. Seriously, you have to move to KENT International School in Korea (this is where foreign trainees study). Plus, even if you're living in Korea, you can't study in a school that's far in your house -that's why most of the students walk-, what more if your school's in the US? There are some trainees who can't speak Korean before like Victoria & Amber of f(x) and SUJU's Hankyung but SM taught them how. *You should ask this on Korea Yahoo Answer because Koreans know more about this stuff than the Filipinos

3 :
Well, first you have to do residency which is around $40,000 to $50,000/year depending on where you train. After that, it depends on your speciality and whether you choose to go into academic medicine or private practice.

The "transfer" process is pretty much unique to North America. If you called a UK uni and asked them about transferring, they may not quite know what you mean. Instead, ask them if you can apply to their psychology course and be given advanced standing based on the work you've done in the US. Some UK unis may be able to give you advanced standing. Many will not. But all is not lost. In fact, without that first year you did at a US community college, you wouldn't even be eligible to apply to uni in the UK. You wouldn't have the qualifications. So that first year you did at cc is what will allow you to apply to a UK uni. UK unis ask for "A levels". You don't have those - those are British. What you have, which is the equivalent, is the work you've done at community college. Bachelors degrees in most of the UK (exception Scotland) take 3 years to complete, not 4. So that could also help. Often, what's a major issue for US students is funding. Do you get financial aid in the US? That won't follow you overseas. Most foreign unis will expect you to be prepared to pay full fees. You'll need to ask each UK uni if they offer any funding for US students, and if so, how you should apply. As for which uni to apply to - that depends on what your academics are like. As in the US, the UK has unis at all levels, from the elite (Oxford, Cambridge) to the less-so. The Scottish uni system is more like the US system. I wonder if you could "transfer" more easily into a Scottish uni? Worth considering. And if you graduate from a Scottish uni, you are legally allowed to stay and work in Scotland, without needing a work visa, for two years. During that two years, you are welcome to apply for a visa - and the Scottish uni degree plus your 2 years of Scottish work experience will help you get that visa. Some of the best Scottish unis are St. Andrews, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. This UK uni rankings table may help you in your search: http://extras.timesonline.co.uk/gug/gooduniversityguide.php If you find that you can't go to uni in the UK due to finances, then go in the US, and try to do a semester or year study abroad to the UK.
2 :
I'm only going to talk about England: -You would apply as an Undergrad Transfer (advanced entry, year 2). This requires you to have a university GPA of 3.0 or higher, and your university credits will be evaluated by the faculty. The problem is this: your credits may or may not count toward your degree. -Funding is the hardest part, as you won't be granted a student visa if you don't have the sufficient funds to cover your stay. There is American financial aid and international scholarships that you should apply for. Most UK bachelor's degrees take three years to complete, and you only focus on one course (in your case, psychology) throughout those three years. Here is a site that provides a lot of useful information, with some in the form of PDF files (you have to have Adobe Reader on your computer to open them): http://www.educationuk.org/pls/hot_bc/page_pls_all_homepage

what foreign languages do USA schools usually teach? at what age do they start?
in my country english is taught since the age of 6 and in high school we have to pick another one (in my case french), then in the university entrance exam you have to pass an exam of advanced english. is this similar in american schools with another language? but from what age to what age is it mandatory and is it necessary to enter college? ok my main question which no one is answering is from what age (grade) to what age is it a MUST and if its part of what i believe you call the SAT'S

I was taught Spanish from 4th grade and up. French in high school, and learned Spanish again in college. But the languages that are offered in high school are Spanish, Latin, French, Mandarin, Japanese It is never a must in primary school, some public schools offer it other do not. The key word here is "offer." The only point where a foreign language is required is when one wants to earn a Associates of Art degree and Spanish is a requirement.
2 :
in my schools-french and spanish....some schools in my state are now branching out into mandarin....
3 :
Spanish, French, and Latin were my options.
4 :
None. English is America's only language.
5 :
Our district just started teaching "Chinese immersion" in preschool. They get Chinese (Manderin) language and culture; it's the superintendent's pet project. I'm not really thrilled. Many US schools teach Spanish at an elementary school level, and Spanish, French and sometimes German, Russian and/or Japanese at a secondary/high school level. Many more languages can be found at college and university levels.
6 :
French, Spanish, Latino
7 :
It depends on the school. My elementary school in Baltimore didn't teach foreign languages. When I was in middle school (at age 10 or 11), we were offered French, Spanish, and Italian (I chose French). But when I moved back to New York, the school my parents put me in only taught Spanish and Italian (I went with Spanish). In high school, we had French, Spanish, Italian, and Mandarin (I went back to French). In our 3rd year in high school, we had to pass a proficiency test in the foreign language we chose. It's not a part of the SATs. The SATs only test math and English (vocabulary and writing); although familiarity with a Romance language may give you an edge.
8 :
I was taught Spanish starting in the 1st grade at age 8. After 12 yrs old, we can choose which languages we want to learn. The 3 main languages we are taught are Spanish, French and Italian. In College, there are otherlanguages besides those in which we can choose to take classes in. At age 14-18, (High School) it is mandatory to get a certain amount of credits in a foreign language.

Are the school cafeteria in UK and USA really tasteless

Yes, except pizza, which still doesn't taste like normal pizza. You have to remember that schools have to spend the least and cater to the tastes of the most people. That usually translates as bland food made with inferior ingredients.
2 :
I thought they were very good when I went to school but over time things change. When my children went to school they found that in the elementary grades they were given outdated food. When my son tried to bring home a bag of chips to show us the date they took it away from him. Since this was food we paid for they had no right to take it from him either, but they did. I no longer have faith in our public schools lunch programs and question much about our public school system in general. There is not just a problem with the quality of the food but I feel serving food on styrofoam plates and trays is hazardous to our children's health. The ingredients used to make styrofoam are toxic. Why are U.S. schools serving food on it?
3 :
I am in the states. Our food was pretty decent. The one thing we all tried to avoid was the macaroni. It was a globby pile of glue. Other than that we had regular meals and a small salad bar, as well as an ala cart options with chefs salads, and so on...
4 :
I usually play it safe and get the salad, unless I've seen what the food looks like.
5 :
YES! Everything is really bad. We had bouncy chicken nuggets and hot dogs that were green on the bottom. Pizza is usually okay. There is just basic food: mashed potatoes, fruit cups, veggies, chilli, pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs, corndogs, bread rolls, sandwiches, things like that. I don't remember much because I stopped eating a long time ago. I remember in elementary school, the only thing I liked was their hot pockets. they were actually pretty good. HOPE THIS HELPS!
6 :
Yes and no. At our school there are days where the food is just horrible and some days where you can actually get a decent lunch. But people dont want to risk it and find it easier to buy a poptart or cookie with a slushie. Very unhealthy. ANd the only way to get a salad is if you get to the front of the line first, and when you do get one they can be very disgusting. I remember at my elementary school they actually fed us really good. They types of food availible are: Fries(with cheese if you want), Chili cheese fries, Burger, Cheese burger, Spicy Chicken sand winch, pizza, salad, Maxx sticks, chicken nuggets, Deli sandwinch, slushies, apple juice, water, pineapple juice. They dont sell sodas to us anymore. You can also probably get poptarts and cookies. and there is usually a teacher who sells candy and sometimes pizza but usually after school. The food is probably not as delicious as before, but at least they feed us :) kinda...lol
7 :
yes.

The exact dates depend on what school you are going to. In general the college dates are: summer from mid-May to the start of September, winter break from mid-December to mid-January and spring break is a week in March. Also, you get time off for holidays like Thanksgiving, and religious holidays if your school is religious. High school dates are different.
2 :
Depends on the grade and level of schooling. Kindergarten through 12th grade: Breaks are usually June - August/september. Start year in september. some holidays here and there, and a 2 week break covering from a little before christmas to a little after new years. College: Quarter system: June through September is summer break, And between 2 and 4 weeks in december for christmas and new years Semester System: May through August for summer, and about 4 weeks in december for christmas and new years
3 :
What the other person said plus I go to a state university and we DO get a one week break for Thanksgiving (the whole week that the holiday falls on.
4 :
Depends on where you go, generally it is by the area... Here in central texas they are as follows Spring: Jan 15 - June 1 Summer: June 10 - Aug 15 Fall: Aug 22 - Dec 20 It all depends on where you ware though, i know up in the NW, like OR and WA that it is about 2 weeks faster. Meaning spring starts Jan 1, and winter ends dec 5th or so...

What is the maximum age in USA to get a high school diploma?
If an internatioanl student who came to the U.S at his or her age 17 by attending grade 10 in high school, he or she will graduate at the age of 20. Is there any age restriction for high school graduation?
Primary & Secondary Education - 6 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
No.
2 :
yeah i think that the age is 21 but im not sure.....it may depend on the state you live in
3 :
I don't believe there is a maximum age. After a certain age I'm sure one would not attend a standard public school, but they could still attend an alternative school to complete their studies and gain a High School Diploma. I believe graduating by 20 would be okay especially if you started the school at age 17 and you were transferred from another country. This is very understandable. Good Luck!
4 :
There are exceptions to every rule. The student would be able to graduate at the age of 20. I believe 21 is the maximum for graduating high school.
5 :
you can graduate high school at any age. however age does determine what school you have to attend. Most schools if you try to enrole at 20 they will not allow it but if you are already in the school then all is fine. you can always get a highschool diploma. age just decides how you get it. online highschools adult courses g.e.d's its all there for you. since you are only 17 they will let you in. I had a guy in my grade 10 class that turned 19 halfway trough. good luck and grab that diploma!:)
6 :
There is no such thing as a maximum age for a diploma. Most states have a maximum age for which students may attend a public day school. In New York State the maximum age is 21./

hi , i am going to send my son to USA for his high school . i find that grade 9 , 10 , 11 , 12 maths curricula is consolidated . can anyone give me an approximate idea that how the curricula is usually divided by teachers ? i know different states have different syllabi but if you know any website or have any information of the approximate division of the syllabi it will be of great help . basically i am asking for grade 9 ,10 which toipics will my son be asked to take on ? will he have to do calculus in grade 10 ?

usually 9th is geometry, unless your son hasn't yet had algebra, in which case 9th is algebra 1. The sequence is algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, trig and pre-calculus, and then calculus. So whatever year he starts algebra 1, you can follow that sequence for the following years.
2 :
Im not sure about all the states, but your son will not have to do calculus in the 10th grade. 9-10 is usually geometry, algebra, trigonometry, and statistics. 11-12 is working towards calculus or advanced statistics / algebra If he is smarter or ahead of the curriculum he could be in a more advanced class, but he would not be expected to do that.
3 :
I'm an 11th grader currently schooling in Florida. The curriculum here is: 9 - algebra 1 / geometry 10 - geometry / algebra 2 11 - algebra 2 / pre-calculus 12 - pre-calculus / trigonometry Hope that helps
4 :
Well, it all depends on what school he will be attending, but this is how it usually goes: 8th grade: Option of either Algebra I or Pre-Algebra, depending on what the student is ready for. 9th grade: If Algebra I was taken in 8th grade, then Geometry. If Pre-Algebra, then the student will take Algebra I. 10th grade: Geometry or Algebra II (If the student took Geometry in 9th grade) 11th grade: Algebra II or Pre-Calculus (in most states, only three years of math is required, although some require four. If they require three, then the student may stop taking math after Algebra II) 12th grade: Pre-calculus or Calculus or no math classes. Hope this helps!

That would be more of an immigration issue than an educational issue. If they live with you (or their parents) here in the US, they can go to school.

Can my friend go to school, or study in the USA with a J-1 visa

Can my friend go to school, or study in the USA with a J-1 visa?
Hello all, My friend is currently in the USA on a J-1 Visa and would like to go to school, or study there. Can he study on a J-1 visa? What school, community college can he study go to that is not too expensive and in the St. Louis area? Is he eligible for a student loan, or federal assistance coming from a foreign country? As he is already in the US could he get a student visa, or transfer the J-1 to a student visa? Any advice, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Immigration - 1 Answers

1 :
He can go to STLCC (Saint Louis Community college- I attach a link below), the best way for him would be to switch from J-1 to student visa, apply to college and extend his student visa as long as he is studying. He won't be able to get a student loan or financial aid. Starting the F1 visa process Select a school that accepts international students and submit your application. The school must be accepted by the USCIS to sponsor foreign students. When the school receives and accepts your application, it inputs information about you to the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). The school will then send you an I-20 form, which you will need in order to obtain your visa. Getting your F1 student visa To obtain your visa, you will have to go to the nearest US consulate. You will have to show the I-20, your passport, pay the necessary visa fee, submit form OF-156 Application for a Nonimmigrant Visa, and show evidence of financial support. Please note that you must be able to prove to the Consular Officer that you have strong ties to your home country. In general, it is a good idea to be very organized for this meeting (you are, after all, going to study Ć¢€“ try to look like a good student!). If you are turned down, ask the consular officer how you can apply again. If approved, the consular section will enter into SEVIS that your visa has been issued. Call Immigration Hot-line 1-800-375-5283 Good luck
2 :
He must do what he was admitted to the US to do under the J-1 visa program, which could be post graduate study. So, if he was granted the J-1 visa to do research etc., then this question is moot. Otherwise, the answer is no, he cannot study in the US on a J-1 visa. As a foreigner, he is not eligible for any federal assistance. He can get loans though the private sector. He will have to lerave the US to get a student visa.

Do private high schools in USA offer scholarships

Do private high schools in USA offer scholarships?
I'm from Australia and I'm moving to CA in August. Apparently my parents want to put me in a public school because it's for free, but from other people's experience on Y!A they told me it's better to go to private school. It's just my parents aren't very rich but still can pay the tuition fee but I want to save the money for them. Anyway to private high schools offer scholarships? Thanks

There are quite a few, and many local/state competitions. The best thing to do is to speak to your high school college counselor to find out what is available in your area. They should know. Yes, there is a GREAT survival school and the admission is free. The United States Army, The United States Marine Corps are two of the best. Both have been building character for over 200 years.
2 :
Sure! As many forests, rivers, and canyons there is in the U.S.A, there has to be a survival school. But many of them are weeks long, intense, not for children, and cost a lot. But there is probably a survival school in a church, school, or maybe for your kids, scouts! I don't know, maybe you could google it?
3 :
Probably not one you want to enroll a child in. They seem to be either run by militia organizations or the far right wing. There are some organizations that run schools that use wilderness schools to development self image and self acceptance. One is Outward Bound and if you live on either coast or the Great Lakes, you could check out sail training programmes that also do this kind of work..
4 :
yea they do
5 :
There are survival *courses*, but are you talking about tough-love programs where they dump kids in the desert and then wonder why one or two get heat stroke and die?

(Her English is getting better) I know that you have to help clean up your school at the end of classes every day then you go home to eat dinner and after that you might go to night classes... just like Korea or China... very Sucsess orientated US Schools are way more relaxed...

which is the most popular acting school in the whole of USA

which is the most popular acting school in the whole of USA?
I am looking for a school that will trigger my success in the field of acting and give me an entry into hollywood.
Theater & Acting - 3 Answers

1 :
it depends...are you looking for popularity or success? because Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts is popular... but Juilliard School is extreamly successfull but also hart to get into
2 :
There's no such school; sorry. I'm sure other respondents will list the "usual suspects" of actor training programs: Julliard, NYU, Carnegie-Mellon, etc. But, the bad news is that NONE of those schools guarantees you anything. Ultimately, you'll walk into auditions and directors and/or casting directors will ask to see your WORK...not your diploma. The best acting school for YOU is the one at which you'll get the best possible training. And that's something you won't know until you get out there and investigate dozens of different options. You need to write letters, pay visits to campuses, talk to professors, sit in on classes, talk to current and former students of those programs, etc. Find the faculty you CONNECT with; the ones that you truly believe can move you forward. That's the school for you. Oh, and by the way...don't leave the Professional Theatre Training Program at the University of Delaware off your list; they're the best.
3 :
Schools do not trigger your success, they train you as a performer. It is up to you and your agent to trigger your success. Schools give you the tools to become an actor, the rest is up to you. You don't want the most popular school. You want the school that has a staff of EXCELLENT acting teachers that consistently produce well-trained actors!

Is it better for an Indian child to go to school in India or the USA? Which system is better

Is it better for an Indian child to go to school in India or the USA? Which system is better?
From grade 1-12, the Indian educational system seems to be much stronger than the US system. Is it a nobrainer to send a child to a good school in India, rather than a public school in the US? Agree? Disagree?

its 50/50 why is because if the child goes to skool in india it with teach em their culture and origin. but the u.s is more advanced...so they will learn more. (no offence to anyone)
2 :
i disagree, little fatty-(chotumotu). not a nobrainer, you also have to think about the different lifestyles, people, oppurtunities, etc
3 :
the American education sucks, k-12, the government doesn't really care, they can't even pay the teachers a decent wage, I'm not a teacher, i have been to a foreign school-great Britain, the difference is night and day, and i was just in elementary school at the time. why do you think foreigners come to America for college, because its a breeze, so easy for them.
4 :
if they speak indian only indian school if they speak both lang u pick and if they only speak english usa school. hope it helps
5 :
If you have a choice now, keep the child(ren) in school in India. The schooling is so much better there in a good school. Much more advanced than here in the USA. 6 days a week is better than 5 any day. Plus, they teach english as a first language, si when the time comes to move here, they will be that much further ahead as well. And the respect I get from people there, or from there is far beyond the respect here(if any). I agree with you 100 percent.

Real Estate or Auto sales if you're good at selling. A business owner can earn that much or more, if they have the right product/service.
5 :
Almost any "commission only" sales job where you are selling a good product people need will allow you to write your own check. And the only skills you need are honesty & knowledge of your product and your competitors' products. Read "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie, and go be a car salesman. Anyone walking into a car dealership has already decided to buy a car; If you help them find what they want (instead of trying to talk them into what your manager thinks they should buy) you will close the sale. And you can do that as often as you want until you have all the money you want. The same is true of real estate. Things may be slow now, but people will always need somewhere to live. Good luck. (You might also consider making the same money you are now, but spending less. That's a much easier way to amass a fortune. Trust me!)
6 :
I don't know, but when you find out please text me and let me know. Thanks.
7 :
Look on www.salary.com to get some ideas.
8 :
Work at a plant (chemical, food, a refinery) as an operator. They make great money, especially with overtime.
9 :
Go to a technical school for about a year and learn a trade. Welding, air conditioning, plumbing, electrician, milwright, they all make well over 50 grand a year. You may have to get a little dirt on your hands and sweat on your brow, but it's well worth it. All of these fields are in demand, and it won't slow down.

India~ Lots of private schools. Most of the kids that go to school attend private schools, and they have to wear uniforms. Education is valued by all Indians even if they themselves are not educated themselves. And the teachers put a lot more pressure on the students. America~ More public schools. Schools are more sanitary. Teachers praise the students for their good work, and reward them. The syllabus is way easier than India's. Hope i helped

its based on how smart your son is but usually in 9th grade you take algebra then in 10th grade it is geometry 11th grade algebra 2 and 12th grade would be pre calculus or if a year ahead calculus.
2 :
This is how it went for me, and as far as I know it's a pretty typical curricula. 9th- Algebra 10th- Geometry 11th- Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry 12th- Calculus I'm pretty sure that's how it went.
3 :
grade 9: algebra I grade 10: geometry grade 11: algebra II grade 12: pre-calculas (optional, but don't have to take math for this year)
4 :
Pre Algebra 9th grade Algebra I 10th grade Geometry 11th grade Algebra II 12th grade On these three you can double up... at my school they werent required we only had to h ave 4 maths to graduate, but I took Pre-Cal and Calculus.. I love math... Pre Calculus Calculus Trigonometry Good Luck!
5 :
Most states have very similar standards. 3 or 4 math credits in High School (grades 9 - 12) to graduate. They go from Elemantary Algebra, Goemetry, Algebra, Algebra 2, Trigenomitry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Then of course you have you AP (Advanced) in each of them. most students can complete these grades with never seeing calc or trig. if your son has an apptitude for mathmatics then he could easily advance to higher levels of math in his high school term.
6 :
High school curriculum varies tremendously. No way to answer this. I've seen public schools that only offered up to algebra 2. No teacher was even qualified to teach beyond that. They sent you to a community college if you needed to go beyond that level.

probably be easiest to just fly to Mexico and swim across the Rio Grande, change your name to something sort of common too people (________) like you that respect law are the first ones to be removed for visa violations meanwhile if you come here illegally from Mexico the only way you can be deported is if you commit a violent crime, just a suggestion if you want to avoid the whole legality of being here issue and saving a lot of time and money
2 :
Yes, you need an F1 visa to come study in the US. Just the same as any other foreign student.
3 :
A visa is not required but you need a form I-20 Certificate of Eligibility from the school. For entry as a student you need to have that form and evidence that you can attend school full time without employment in the US.
4 :
If you are going with your parents and one of them has a TN visa and you get a TD, then you can go to US high school for free. But you still need the F-1 for college. For college you need to be accepted by a US school and they will get the F-1 for you. Also be aware that it costs about $30,000 a year to go to college in the USA. And you cannot work in the US to try to earn any of it. I find the low cost, like only $10,000 is for in state students. You do not get it that cheap as an international student. However you can get Canadian student loans for much of the cost in the US and that counts as income for the F-1.
5 :
you will need a study permit to attend college in USA. if you are attending HIGH SCHOOL you can only attend HS in USA for 1 year!!!!! You will need a temporary guardian for that one year. And PROBABLY a study permit as well.

a question about evangelical christians and school

a question about evangelical christians and school?
is that true some evangelical parents don't like to send their children to the public schools in USA why? is there something in the Bible that support this? which christian denominations support this way?
Religion & Spirituality - 5 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
yes some do homeschooling due to the violence nowadays.
2 :
Yes, it's true. Because they are afraid if their children learn science and facts, they'll realize how silly their religion is, and leave it. No, there's nothing in the bible that supports that -- there were no public schools in "bible times." Peace.
3 :
And, many non-Christian parents send their children to Christian schools, for the higher quality of education and the far better behavioral control.
4 :
Yes but it is because these evangelical christians want pubic schools to have Christian prayers said at the start of each class as well as Christian bible classes. Science course are removed and replaced with (god did it) and how creationism is based on facts.
5 :
As a Christian in the USA, I'm completely opposed to any Christian letting their kids go to Public/Private Schools. I believe we should all teach our kids at home. Biblically, God commands us to raise our Children in the way they must go. In other words, the parents should be teaching their children about God and the world around us. The public and most private schools are very secular. They teach an anti-God view. It's not because God doesn't exist, He does. It's because the people who control the schools don't want our children to be able to think on their own and know anything about God. What I just said may seem silly, but the many public school children I know don't have critical thinking skills what-so-ever. Where I live, the public schools are considered to be very good. However, most of these kids only receive indoctrination and no applicable education. The claim against home-schooled children is that they are being indoctrinated with religious lies; thus, they don't receive a viable education. While many criticisms exist against homeschooling, all of them fall flat on their face once the facts are given. Generally speaking, home-schooled children consistently score higher than the average public school child. Most of them actually receive a broader education as well. In fact, what most people don't know is that the 7th and 8th grades are a complete waste of time. So, if you hear that a homeschooler graduated 2 years early, this is usually why. The 7th and 8th grades are remedial grades which are designed to help people who did poorly in grade school (1st-6th grade) so that they would be accepted to high school (used to be collage level). I could go on and on, but I think my point is clear. Most of the design within the public school systems only perpetuate the production of a mindless-servant-class who rely on the government to get by. The idea of compulsory public education started with Hitler. He wanted the minds while they were young and he wanted them at an earlier age. Where do you think the term 'Kindergarten' comes from. Hitler wanted these minds of the children while they were young so that he could mold them into what he wanted. That's the modern day purpose of public schools. It's not to help the poorly educated give an education to their children, it's to keep everyone poorly educated. Biblically speaking, God charges me to protect my children, so I will. He wants me to keep their minds off of worldly things and focus on Godly things. He wants my children to know Him personally. They won't get that in public school. While the public school brain-washing can be undone, it usually takes a long time. I went to public schools, so I know what I'm keeping my children from. I hated public school because the very thought of questioning the status quo was a great sin. Thinking that the Bible is fact, was wrong. Thinking that the ideas not taught in school could be useful, was wrong. It's amazing how all of the criticisms against homeschooling actually stick to public-schoolers better. Many Christians of all denominations are waking up to the fact that education is going down hill. The average high school grade from the 70's is better prepared for the world than someone who is about to graduate from high school today. What's also amazing is that most people with a collage degree couldn't pass a 9th grade test from the mid-1800's. There's so much knowledge we have today compared to then, yet the average person today knows less than the average person back then. I'm not against science. I am against pseudo-sciences like evolution, and other proven false-hoods which are perpetuated by the state. I don't care about getting prayers in school, however, I do think it's strange how a child can be suspended for praying over his lunch before he eats it. (Yes, I have a little brother who was suspended over this. He was only 8 years old at the time.) Public schools are just glorified child daycare, run by the state so that the children grow up thinking they need the state. Only if your parents take the time to undo the brain-washing is your mind able to see this. Even today, I find out about the lies I was forced to believe when I was a kid. I remember being told that the sky would be brown, not blue, by the time I was an adult. Over 20 years later, and nothing has been done about the pollution in this country, yet, our skies aren't the least bit brown. I remember many other lies like this. All they did was spend time scaring us into a mindset which required you to rely upon the government to do all the good. What's more amazing is that really, government wants to be God. That's their goal. Public schools are the tool they use to get it done. They need a public which will just give them power. My vote is for freedom. The only source of freedom is God, and the power of the Bible. That is what our founding fathers used to free us from tyranny... and we definitely need it again today.

Dearborn, Michigan has a lot of conservative Muslims, but no one at my school ever covered their face: just their hair and neck. Some parents wore the niqab, but no students.
2 :
there should be a policy against wearing 'hijab' in schools.. that could be dangerous.. we don't want a malicious stranger in hijab going about with the students pretending to be one of them.

work on his work permit with the department of labor.

you need to setup a legitimate company under the school you are opening and then petition him under that company as an immigrant or working visa. OR find him an american citizen/immigrant he can marry. LOL

First ask the guy if he really wants to go there. I'm sure you feel like he would be a great addition but this is his life we are talking about. If he's cool with it then enquire about it through the right channels. Either way it will take quiet afew months I would say. Plenty of fees and paper work to be done.
